Cultural Trend Surging
Ceremonial Reverence
Pulls toward Permanent · in the Permanent vs. Temporary tension
Established creative figures and their legacies are being actively commemorated through deliberate acts of remembrance and tribute. Bob Mackie's design legacy celebrated through Cher's tribute, Jeremy Thomas's enduring impact on cinema, and the foundation collecting 100+ tributes to Tung Chee-hwa all signal a cultural impulse to formally recognize and preserve the permanence of creative contribution through institutional and personal acts of homage. Mortality becomes an occasion for permanent cultural positioning.
